Set to redefine outback adventure, Central Australia's newest eco-walk trail will offer a unique hiking experience like no other in the country and the Finocchiaro CLP Government is getting behind it as part of their year of action, certainty, and security.

The Uluru-Kata Tjuta Signature Walk, set to launch the 2026 walking season, will offer guests an unforgettable five days and four nights of outback indulgence along a 54km trail inside the World Heritage Listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.

Each day will end with refreshments, a meal under the stars, and a good night's sleep in environmentally sustainable accommodation.

Minister for Lands, Planning and Environment and Member for Braitling, Joshua Burgoyne, said a walking experience of this calibre will open the door to greater opportunities for Central Australia.

"By attracting visitors from across the country and beyond, we're putting Central Australia firmly on the map as a destination for immersive, high-quality eco-tourism," he said.

"It will encourage longer stays, greater visitor spend, and deeper engagement with our region, which creates flow on benefits for local businesses, operators, and communities.

"We are investing not just in tourism, but in jobs, regional growth, and the future of the Territory."

"Already, the project has secured more than 400 pre-bookings for the 2026 season," said Mr Burgoyne.

The project is being led by the award-winning Australian Walking Company, renowned for its premium guided walks through some of Australia's most iconic landscapes.

Treasurer and Member for Namatjira, Bill Yan, said this marks the first major investment in a tourism tour product in over a decade.

"The CLP Government is supporting the Signature Walk with a $10 million business concessional loan to help bring this world-class experience to life," Mr Yan said.

"We made a commitment to rebuild the Territory economy, and this investment is an important step toward delivering on that promise."

CEO of Tourism Central Australia, Danial Rochford said: "This project is going to be a

world-renowned experience right here in Central Australia, and it will see a massive boost to our visitor economy."
