36 new residential lots will be released in Alice Springs this month.
New residential land supports local jobs, strengthens investment, and enables regional growth and development.
Housing delivery supports broader government priorities to grow the Northern Territory population and improve liveability.
The Finocchiaro CLP Government continues to drive housing supply, economic growth and population attraction with the announcement of a new residential land release in Alice Springs.
Named the 'Wattle Release,' the development at the Kilgariff Estate Stage 2B will deliver 36 single and multi-dwelling residential lots ranging in size from 760m2, providing new opportunities for Territorians to live, work and invest in Central Australia.
Delivered by the Land Development Corporation on behalf of the NT Government, the Wattle Release will launch at a Family Fun Day on Saturday 18 April 2026 at Ankerre Park, with land available to purchase from that day via the Kilgariff Estate website here.
Treasurer, Minister for Housing Construction, and Local Member for Namatjira Bill Yan said the release would help strengthen the local economy while supporting long-term growth.
"New land releases lead to great stories of Territorians moving into their dream homes, boosting local jobs, the wider economy and giving more certainty for the construction sector," he said.
"This is all part of our commitment to rebuild the economy and restore our unique Territory lifestyle."
"That includes the CLP's strong investment support for Alice Springs with the new public library, multicultural centre, Gillen Oval Multi-Sport Precinct, lighting for the Jim McConville Oval and the ever-popular skate park," he said.
Mr Yan said the release supported the CLP Government's economic strategy here by enabling housing supply and boosting workforce attraction along with long-term community liveability.
"In our year of growth, certainty and security, our government is continuing to open new doors to Territorians owning or building a new home in the NT," Mr Yan said.
"This includes extending our HomeGrown grants program through to September 2027 and unlocking new development opportunities - and this new residential land at Kilgariff will continue driving momentum here in Alice Springs."
The release builds on the success of earlier Kilgariff Estate stages, with all 80 residential lots sold and constructed upon in Stage 1, and 52 lots delivered in Stage 2A with titles issued in August 2024.
Land Development Corporation Acting Chief Executive Officer Hannah Barraza said the Wattle Release is part of a planned pipeline of residential land at Kilgariff, giving industry and buyers greater certainty about future supply.
"We are delivering serviced land ready for people to build, with the flexibility to choose their own builder and design a home that suits their needs," she said.
