Police have taken action against a Brisbane club following investigations into a reported breach of the COVID-19 Public Health Directions on the weekend.

Investigators from Taskforce Sierra Linnet and the Brisbane Liquor Unit conducted inquiries following reports of a large gathering of people at the Pinkenba premises on Saturday night.

Officers today issued a Penalty Infringement Notice to the president of the club for failing to comply with the Chief Health Officer's Public Health Direction in the amount of $6,772.
