Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a hit and run collision which occurred in Clyde North this morning.
Investigators have been told two men were standing on Westphalian Rise about 1am on 29 March.
It is alleged a white Kia hatch drove past and the occupants hurled abuse at the pair before performing a u-turn and driving towards the men.
One of the men jumped out of the way while a 29-year-old man from Clyde North was struck by the car.
He has been taken to hospital with critical injuries.
The Kia did not stop and the occupants are yet to be identified.
Detectives from Major Collision Investigation Unit have been notified and are attending the scene.
