I'm delighted to add the role of Non-Executive Director at the Coal Authority to my portfolio. I was born and brought up in the Rhondda Valley, South Wales and have first-hand appreciation of the importance of our coal mining heritage and a passion and commitment to continue to support those communities impacted by mining, tackling inequalities and improving quality of life.

My experience in delivering economic and social regeneration schemes, emergency planning and strategic leadership, together with my work with key stakeholders across Wales, closely aligns with the Coal Authority's key areas of work to make a better future for people and the environment in mining areas.
