The State Government's $8.6 million Collie Transition Training Centre is part of its more than $700 million commitment to supporting Collie's Just Transition and future workforce needs.
The first students have commenced training at the new $8.6 million Collie Transition Training Centre, marking an important milestone in the State Government's investment in Collie's future.
Part of the State Government's more than $700 million Collie Just Transition commitment, the purpose-built facility will support workers to upskill, reskill and transition into new career opportunities while strengthening the region's long-term economic resilience.
Complementing the existing South Regional TAFE Collie Campus, the Centre can deliver up to 550 training places each year in courses tailored to the needs of emerging and evolving industries. The first cohort commenced training in the Skidsteer Skill Set in August 2026.
With modern facilities supporting high-risk licence training, machine operation and laboratory-based learning, the Centre will help local workers gain the skills needed for future employment opportunities in Collie and the South West.
