Collision between car and cyclist in Hamilton

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a collision that has left a cyclist with serious injuries in Hamilton yesterday, Victoria Police say.

It is alleged the cyclist was travelling east on Grey Street and collided with a silver Mercedes Benz sedan as the car was turning at the intersection of Hensley Park Road at 7.55am.

The driver of the car, a 63-year-old woman from Hamilton, stopped at the scene and rendered assistance to the cyclist.

The cyclist, a 69-year-old Hamilton man, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are keen to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the collision and are also keen for anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.
