Comfit released – Burglary in Toowoomba, QLD

Police have a released a comfit image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to a burglary which occurred in Toowoomba last month, Queensland Police say.

Around 11.15pm on August 6, a 26-year-old woman disturbed a man who had broken into a home on Hursley Road in Newtown.

The woman discovered the man standing in the kitchen with her wallet in his hand.

She managed to grab the wallet back from the offender before chasing him out of the residence.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 40-years-old, 170cm tall with a large build, grey moustache and blue eyes.

He was wearing a navy coloured hooded jumper, baggy jeans and running shoes.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in Hursley Road at this time or recognises the man in the comfit is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
