Background:
Australian Local Government Association (ALGA) President Linda Scott participated in the Australia Local Governments Accelerating Action at COP26: Virtual Forum this afternoon.
The purpose of the forum was to explore the pathways for local governments to advocate for, and demonstrate their own, climate action commitment and to take forward a call for urgent action on climate change from local government to COP26 and the Federal Government.
This event was organised by ICLEI Oceania in association with ALGA and the Council of Capital City Lord Mayors.
