COMMERCIAL CANNABIS SEIZURE - THREE CHARGED - PALMERSTON

Members of the Drug and Organised Crime Division arrested three men in relation to the seizure of 28.5 kilograms of cannabis in Palmerston yesterday, Northern Territory Police say

A vehicle and $4700 cash was also seized.

Detective Superintendent Scott Pollock stated that this type of event was becoming far too common.

"These persons are motivated by greed and don’t think about the consequences of being caught. If you bring illicit drugs into the Northern Territory we will soon know about it."

A Palmerston man, aged 29 years, and two males from Sydney, aged 23 and 27 years have been remanded in custody and are due to appear in the Darwin Local Court this morning.
