Is the Michael Bublé Christmas album on your December rotation? If so, don't miss the chance to sing along to some of those tunes with Damien Leith at Carols in MacCabe Park.
On the eleventh night of December, MacCabe Park will light up with a joyous night of free community carols. Performances will start at 7pm, led by The Wollongong Conservatorium of Music.
Sing along to your festive favourites with the Hummingbirds, the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music Children's and Youth Choir and the City of Wollongong Brass Band. Enjoy special performances from the Southern Brothers Choir, the Aguilera Family and even a Hip-Hop Christmas special from Street Beatz.
Local celebrity and singer-songwriter Damien Leith is the event MC and will sing a few Bublé classics.
To complement the tunes, around the park will be free face painting and roving entertainment from 6.30pm. The Rotary Club will also be putting on a sausage sizzle alongside dessert vans, and a special visit from Santa Claus is expected at the end of the night.
Lord Mayor of Wollongong Councillor Tania Brown said she can't wait to belt out some tunes with Wollongong again.
"It's a no brainer that we had to continue the Carols in MacCabe Park after its success last year," she said.
"It was quite special to see families making a night of it with their loved ones in tow. We had plenty of dancing, singing and cheer. So, I'm pleased to have Wollongong Conservatorium of Music back to bring that energy again.
"Come along and embrace the magic of community carols. They're for anyone and everyone, so long as you're up for a good time with your community.
"Mark your calendars because you don't want to miss out! And if you're able to, please bring along an unwrapped gift to drop off to our charity partners St. Vincent De Paul for our City of Wollongong Christmas gift appeal."
Our charity partners St Vincent de Paul will be at the event to accept cash donations and/or gifts for our City of Wollongong Giving Tree .
This alcohol-free, family friendly event is supported by Wave FM and the Cram Foundation.
