Community Cricket Program now open for applications

The Victorian Minister for Sport, Martin Pakula has announced the opening of the Victorian Government's Community Cricket Program.

As you will be aware, the program includes two grant funding streams for Cricket Infrastructure in Victoria including:

  • Community Facilities - The development of and upgrades to community facilities aimed at improving participation opportunities for all Victorians
  • Metropolitan Cricket and Community Centres - Support the development of cricketers and provide greater access to people from all backgrounds. The Centres will assist with the management of the game, acting as administrative hubs and will deliver key objectives including:
    • Pathways (eg: development of local junior talent, lower costs to parents).
    • Community Programs (eg: space for community groups to meet).
    • Community Cricket: (eg: better facilities for girls and women's cricket)
    • Premier Cricket (eg: focus on women's premier cricket)

Cricket Victoria has previously communicated with local clubs and associations on this Fund and it's two funding streams, however with the program opening today and a relatively short time period before applications are to be submitted, we encourage you to become familiar with the Program Guidelines which can be found on this link:

We encourage you to contact your local CV Cricket Manager and your local Council to discuss potential project applications as soon as possible.
