Community Invited to Shape Moe Town Centre's Future

Latrobe City Council is inviting the community to have its say on the future of Moe's town centre as part of the public exhibition of the draft Moe Activity Centre Plan and Planning Scheme Amendment C155.

The draft Moe Activity Centre Plan sets a long-term vision for the growth, development and revitalisation of the Moe Central Business District. The plan will help guide future land use, development, transport connections, public spaces, and economic activity within the town centre.

The public exhibition period will run from 22 October to 24 November 2026, providing residents, business owners, community groups and visitors with an opportunity to learn more about the proposed changes and provide a submission to the Amendment.

To support community participation, Council will host a series of drop-in sessions and listening posts throughout the exhibition period.

Latrobe City Mayor, Councillor Sharon Gibson encouraged the community to get involved.

"Moe town centre is a vital part of our local economy, and we want the community to have a real say in shaping its future," Cr Gibson said.

"The people who live, work, shop and spend time in Moe know the area best, and their feedback will help shape the final plan.

"I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to learn more about what's being proposed, ask questions and share their ideas."

Community members are welcome to attend any of the information sessions during the exhibition period. Those who would like to discuss the amendment in more detail can also book a one-on-one appointment with Council project officers.

The amendment, supporting documents and information about making a submission are available at yoursay.latrobe.vic.gov.au/c155. Submissions will be accepted until 24 November 2026.
