East Gippsland Shire Council is calling for nominations from community not-for-profit organisations to receive a free fully installed grid connected solar system, donated on behalf of the East Gippsland Solar Bulk Buy.
For every solar system sold as part of the East Gippsland Shire Solar Bulk Buy a percentage is donated to install solar on a local community facility.
The East Gippsland Shire Solar Bulk Buy will be finishing on June 30, 2019, after seeing more than 60 solar systems installed locally.
Solar energy has been recognised as an important way of reducing the impact of electricity prices while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Applications for the Community Solar Donation will close on Wednesday, July 31 at 5pm. The nomination form and guidelines can be found at https://yoursay.eastgippsland.vic.gov.au/bright-futures-renewable-energy-project
