Community Wellbeing Grant Recipients Confirmed

The 2025-26 Community Wellbeing Grant recipients have been confirmed, with 34 successful applicants receiving funding to support community wellbeing.

At its meeting on Tuesday 14 October, Council concluded its deliberations on applications received and has now resolved to grant funds to the total of $177,388 to eligible not-for-profit groups for the development and delivery of community programs for the 2025/2026 financial year.

Mayor Patricia White said the money would help grassroots groups design, implement and deliver initiatives that help the community thrive.

"Community wellbeing has never been more important, and these grants will go a long way to help people in our neighbourhoods connect, learn, laugh or support each other," Cr White said.

"From youth outreach to community events, the panel has identified where support is required to build community and make a real difference to people's lives," she said.

"We have many wonderful and caring people in the Shoalhaven who are already so giving of their time, but financial assistance can make all the difference when it comes to successful outcomes for community wellbeing."

Applications were received and considered under Council's Community Wellbeing Grants Policy. Out of the 40 applications 34 were successful.

The grants program is open to groups running a local community service, cultural or sporting organisations, and charitable or non-profit organisation. A few of this year's recipients include:

  • The Milton Folk, Jazz and Blues Festival for the 2026 event
  • Friends of Callala Seniors Group for rental subsidy
  • Sanctuary Point Community Pride for the Spring into Sanctuary Point fair
  • The Lions Club of Bomaderry Nowra for carols in the park
  • South Coast and Country Community Law for the Koori touch football competition.
  • Ulladulla Blessing of the Fleet.
