Concern for missing girl Melanie

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing girl Melanie.

The 13-year-old was last seen at Hazelwood Avenue in Cranbourne north about midday on Sunday, 12 June.

Police and family hold concerns for her welfare due to her age and that her disappearance is out of character.

Melanie is Caucasian, about 160cm tall with straight brown hair that was last seen in a ponytail.

She was last seen wearing a black hooded-jumper, black pants and black shoes.

An image of Melanie has been released in the hope someone recognises her and provides information on her current whereabouts.

Anyone who sights Melanie or with information about her whereabouts is urged to call Cranbourne Police Station on 5991 0600.
