Concern for missing man John 6 June

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing man John.

The 76-year-old was last seen on O'Keefe Street in Preston around 3pm today.

John is described as approximately 174cm tall, bald, with a slim build.

Police and family are concerned for John's welfare as he has dementia and other medical conditions requiring medication, as well as the cold weather conditions and that it is out of character for him to go missing.

An image of John has been released in the hope someone recognises him and provides information on his current whereabouts.

John was last seen wearing a Collingwood cap, a navy zip-up jacket and dark grey trousers.

He has limited mobility and walks with the assistance of a cane.

Police are searching the Preston, Thornbury and Northcote areas.

Anyone who sights John is urged to call Triple Zero (000) or with information about his whereabouts is urged to call Northcote Police Station on 9403 0200.
