Congratulations to cricketers Jordan Silk, Peter Siddle and Sarah Coyte

Nic Street,Minister for Sport and Recreation

Congratulations to Jordan Silk and Peter Siddle who have tied for the Ricky Ponting medal, Tasmanian cricket's highest individual male honour last night.

It's the first time since the 1992-93 season that the award has been shared, with both players tying even on 134 votes.

Siddle was the leading wicket taker for the Tigers in both the red and white ball formats and Silk topped the run tally in one day cricket and accumulated the second highest amount of runs for the Tigers in first-class cricket.

Sarah Coyte took out her maiden Female Tigers Player of the Year Award for season 2021-2022. Congratulations to Sarah who clinched the top female honour after taking 13 wickets for the season.

I wish all the Tigers players all the best over the off season and look forward to seeing them back in action for the 2022-23 season.
