The Tasmanian Government would like to congratulate Nigel Clark, who has been appointed as the new Aurora Energy CEO following an extensive executive recruitment process run by the Aurora Energy Board.
Mr Clark has worked locally and overseas in executive roles in the retail electricity industry over a number of decades, including as Managing Director of Momentum Energy, and joins Aurora from Genesis Energy in New Zealand.
Mr Clark begins in the role next month and I look forward to working with him to support Tasmanian energy consumers, including delivering on our commitment to roll-out advanced meters by the end of 2026.
This will ensure customers have access to tools, like aurora+, that can have a significant impact in reducing household electricity bills.
We also wish outgoing CEO Rebecca Kardos well for the future and acknowledge her eight years leading Aurora Energy through a period of substantial change.
