Construction works have commenced on two new sports amenities buildings as part of Stage 3 upgrades on the Peninsula Recreation and Active Lifestyle Precinct. Works have been planned to minimise impacts to sports users and the community and is expected to continue until June 2023.
The existing Etta Rd sports amenities will remain operational and won't be demolished until another is completed.
During the demolition and construction of the new sports field there will be some unavoidable construction noise between the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 3:00pm Saturdays, excluding public holidays, as well as a reduction of some car spaces at Melbourne Ave for construction vehicles.
Pedestrian access will be always maintained through the reserve and works will be managed to cause minimal disturbance.
