An Expert Panel for the Road Transport Industry has reviewed the operation of the first time-sensitive road transport contractual chain order. This order includes rules about fuel cost recovery in contractual chains in the road transport industry.
The Expert Panel has proposed changes to the order. Public consultation on those proposed changes opened on 29 June 2026 and was to close yesterday.
The Expert Panel has:
- extended the consultation period to 4 pm AEST on Tuesday 9 June 2026, and
- given until 4 pm AEST on Friday 12 June 2026 to respond to any of the submissions.
