The consultation period on the marine park proposal for 25 sites from Newcastle to Wollongong finished on 27 September, following six weeks of public discussion.
Feedback was received through 22 community information booths, targeted stakeholder communication and online submission portals.
More than 14,500 submissions were received via the online survey and email address and more than 20,000 campaign responses were received.
Meetings were also held with key stakeholders from fishing, environmental, boating and other community groups.
Thank you to those who provided extensive and valuable feedback during this consultation period, which will inform the future approach to marine management in NSW.
