Expressions of Interest are being sought from parties interested in undertaking the role of Scheme Coordinator or Network Operator for the Tasmanian Container Refund Scheme (CRS).
The Scheme Coordinator will be contracted to manage the administration and financial aspects of the Scheme, while the Network Operator is to oversee the refund points and logistics of the Scheme.
These roles will be vital for the successful operation of Tasmania's CRS and a significant next step in delivering a CRS for all Tasmanians to benefit from.
The Tasmanian Liberal Government is committed to delivering a scheme that will be convenient for the community, good for the environment, provide opportunities for charities and community groups and maximises the number of containers returned and recycled.
Parties successful in this Expression of Interest process will be invited to participate in a subsequent Request for Tender process.
