The 4-kilometre section of the new M9 will improve safety and reduce travel time for commuters driving between Coomera and Helensvale on the Gold Coast.
It will also help relieve congestion on the busy Pacific Motorway M1 by providing an alternate route.
The project required 65,000 tonnes of asphalt, and provided employment opportunities including over 60 traineeships and apprenticeships.
It's part of the Coomera Connector, which once complete will transform travel between Logan and the Gold Coast, supporting the region's growth.
Work continues on the Central and South sections of the Coomera Connector.
