The pair jumped the counter, stealing a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in a stolen blue Honda Civic.
The 31-year-old female employee retreated to a secure room and was not physically injured during the incident.
A short time later, at approximately 4.45am, investigations indicate the same two offenders attended a service station on Logan River Road at Beenleigh.
One of the offenders entered the store armed with a knife and threatened a 24-year-old male employee, demanding money and cigarettes, while the second offender remained at the entrance.
The offenders stole cash and a quantity of cigarettes before fleeing the scene in the same stolen blue Honda Civic.
The employee was not physically injured during the incident.
The vehicle, a blue Honda Civic had been reported stolen from Kingston Road at Slacks Creek on 16 April and was later located abandoned at Woodridge.
Police declared crime scenes at both incident locations.
A knife was located at the Pimpama scene which is believed to have been used during the offence.
Investigations are ongoing, and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed either incident, or who may have relevant vision to come forward.
