There are 953 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria - with 76 active cases, including 39 on a ventilator, and an additional 38 cleared cases in ICU.
5,584,763 vaccine doses have been administered by Victoria's state-commissioned services, with 22,139 administered yesterday at state-run centres. 4,431 of these doses were for children aged 5 to 11.
37.0 per cent of Victorians aged 18 and over have had three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. 93.5 per cent of Victorians aged 12 and over have had two doses.
Victoria was notified of 12,250 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This includes:
- 6,006 who tested positive on a Rapid Antigen Test
- 6,244 who returned a positive result on a PCR test.
Sadly, the Department was notified yesterday of 31 deaths of people aged in their 40s to 100s. The majority of these deaths occurred over the past three days. Four of today's reported deaths occurred in early to mid-January and one death occurred in December. This brings the total number of deaths in Victoria since the pandemic began to 1,970.
There are 79,836 active cases in Victoria.
31,422 PCR tests were processed yesterday. The total number of PCR tests performed in Victoria since the pandemic began is 18,862,314.

Child vaccinations
In total, 231,286 children aged 5-11 years have now received a paediatric dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Victoria, which is 40 per cent of that age group.
Book online at your nearest state vaccination centre before you go or visit the clinic finder to book through a participating GP or pharmacy.
15 new pop-up vaccination clinics are open this weekend at primary schools across Victoria to deliver more doses in local communities. Children do not have to attend these schools to get a vaccine.
In addition, some state-run vaccination centres are accepting walk-ups for paediatric vaccines. These are: The Royal Exhibition Building, Sandown Racecourse, Dandenong Plaza, Caroline Springs Leisure Centre, Campbellfield Ford Complex, Sunshine Hospital (St Albans), and the Melton vaccination hub. Check the website for opening dates, times and site details.
The Royal Exhibition Building and the old Ford factory in Campbellfield, will also be offering walk-ups for 5-11-year-olds every day from now on at these sites.
