Coronavirus update for Victoria - Monday 06 September

Victoria was notified of 246 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. All were locally acquired cases, with one case reclassified.

There are 1,619 active cases in Victoria - 1,614 locally acquired and five overseas acquired cases.

There are 92 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. 26 of these cases are in intensive care, with 14 cases on a ventilator.

The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 23,187.

Vaccines

Yesterday, 26,955 vaccine doses were administered by Victoria's state-commissioned services.

The total number of doses administered through these services is 2,610,567.

More than 30,000 vaccination bookings were made yesterday.

Over the next seven days, there are more than 9,900 first-dose AstraZeneca appointments and around 1,000 first-dose Pfizer appointments available.
