Coronavirus update for Victoria - Monday 13 September

Victoria was notified of 473 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. All were locally acquired.

There are 3,507 active cases in Victoria - 3,503 locally acquired and four overseas-acquired cases.

There are 157 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. 38 of those cases are in intensive care, with 26 cases on a ventilator.

The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 25,591. 12 historic cases were reclassified yesterday.

Vaccines

Yesterday, 30,032 vaccine doses were administered by Victoria's state-commissioned services. This is highest number of doses ever delivered on a Sunday.

The total number of doses administered through state-run services is 2,864,299.

There are currently around 2,200 first-dose Pfizer appointments and 12,300 AstraZeneca appointments available over this week.

  • Melbourne Showgrounds
  • Melton Drive-Through Vaccination Clinic
  • Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre, South Morang
  • Former Ford Factory, Campbellfield.

Under current public-health directions, getting vaccinated is not a reason to travel from metropolitan Melbourne or Greater Shepparton to a non-restricted regional area and vice versa.
