Coronavirus update for Victoria - Tuesday 7 September 2021

Victoria was notified of 246 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. All were locally acquired.

There are 1,786 active cases in Victoria - 1,781 locally acquired and four overseas-acquired cases.

There are 110 COVID-19 cases in hospital in Victoria. 30 of these cases are in intensive care, with 14 cases on a ventilator.

The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 23,429.

Vaccines

Yesterday, 32,300 vaccine doses were administered by Victoria's state-commissioned services.

The total number of doses administered through these services is 2,643,019.

Almost 68,900 vaccination bookings were made yesterday.

Over the next seven days, there are more than 11,400 first-dose AstraZeneca appointments available.
