Shellharbour City Council has awarded $16,310 in the latest round of its Community Donations and Sponsorships program, supporting local athletes, community organisations and events.
The program helps individuals and groups achieve their goals by funding activities that strengthen community wellbeing, promote participation and showcase Shellharbour's talent locally, nationally and internationally.

Successful applicants were recognised by Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer, who congratulated them on their achievements and contributions.
"From the sports field to community programs, these people are making Shellharbour shine. We're proud to support their passion and achievements," Mayor Homer said.
"The Community Donations and Sponsorships program is one of the ways Council invests back into our community. It gives locals the chance to reach their goals while also strengthening Shellharbour as a whole."
Successful recipients from April to July 2025 include:
• Assist Shellharbour - Shellharbour City Baptist Church Assist Inc
• Shellharbour Surf Life Saving Club Ltd
• Shellharbour Conference, St Vincent de Paul Society
• St Vincent de Paul Albion Park Conference
• Exercise by Dance Performance Group
• Stand Up Paddle Boarding Shellharbour
• Athletes competing in a variety of sports including gymnastics, swimming, triathlon, walking football, and rugby union
Council's Community Donations and Sponsorships program offers funding opportunities year-round to eligible individuals, clubs and organisations. In the last financial year, Council has handed out $33,901.60 in funding.
