Works begin on replacing Thackhan's Bridge

Kempsey Shire Council has started works on two of the 56 timber bridges that will be replaced across the Macleay Valley in the next few years.

Council's Bridge Crews have commenced construction on the Thackhans Bridge on Wharf Road Kundabung and Parrabel/Majors Creek Bridge on Willi Willi Road, which will both be safer and more durable concrete structures.

These projects are part of the $16 million in funding Council secured from the NSW Government's Fixing Country Bridges program.
