Townsville City Council services, facilities and venues will return to normal operations from Monday.
Transfer stations and landfill facilities open from today:
- Magnetic Island Transfer Station
- Hervey Range Resource Recovery Centre
- Stuart Waste Facility
Castle Hill and Mount Stuart have reopened to motorists and pedestrians.
Facilities reopening on Monday include:
- All Citylibraries branches
- All Townsville City Galleries
- Community centres
- Council's Customer Service Centre at 103 Walker Street
- All pools, beaches and walking tracks
- The Rockpool
- Riverway Precinct
- Animal Care and Adoption Centre
The Murray Skate Park will remain closed Monday for shade sail repairs.
Mayor Nick Dametto thanked everyone for their response to Cyclone Koji.
"Thank you to the Townsville community for being prepared and following safety advice over the last few days," Cr Dametto said.
"I appreciate everyone's patience during the disruption to our services, facilities and venues over the weekend."
