Council Marks Gov Week With Prizes, Pop-Ups

MidCoast Council

Local Government Week is held every year in the first week of August and celebrates the range and diversity of services councils offer the community – everything from roads and rubbish, to sports fields, parks, cemeteries, food safety checks, sewer and water services, building and development, libraries, pet registration, and much more.

The range of services local councils are tasked with providing has expanded over the years. All these services mean Council is part of your everyday life. So, it's important to understand what Council work and activities are coming up, why they're happening and how they may benefit or impact you.

That's why, this year for Local Government Week, MidCoast Council is encouraging locals to try out its free e-newsletter, News Wrap. Council has been running a subscription prize draw since 1 July, which will end this Sunday, 10 August. Simply subscribe to News Wrap using the official competition entry form and you'll go into the draw for one of three $100 #shopMidCoast vouchers which can be used at a range of local businesses. You can easily complete an entry from online at https://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Your-Council/About-MidCoast-Council/Local-Government-Week, or in person at any MidCoast Council Customer Service Point, Library or Council pop-up – just look for the red box.
