Noosa Council is taking its final meeting of the year to Cooran.

The December 17 Ordinary Meeting will be held at the Cooran Memorial School of Arts Hall at 12 noon, with councillors and staff available for a meet and greet from 10am.

Mayor Frank Wilkie said the Council in Community initiative is an important part of Council's commitment to its consultation and communication program.

"This will be the sixth time this term we've held our monthly ordinary meeting outside the Tewantin chambers," he said.

"The Cooran community helped facilitate a venue for this meeting so it's pleasing that we can make it happen."

Council held meetings in Cooroy, Kin Kin and Boreen Point in 2025, along with Pomona and Peregian Beach in 2024.

"These community-based Council meetings provide local residents with a good opportunity to discuss any issues of concern with councillors, senior staff and also gain an insight into the council decision-making process," the mayor said.

No bookings are required for the meet-and-greet.

The Ordinary Meeting is open to the public.
