Council Revises Staff Work Plans Amid Fuel Crisis

Kiama Council

pre-repairs Council Chambers

In an effort to keep rising costs down, Kiama Municipal Council has announced that adjustments will be made to staff working arrangements.

Due to fuel prices rising dramatically in recent weeks from the war in the Middle East, Council CEO Jane Stroud is directing staff who can and are able to work from home to do so.

Council services will continue, business as usual, during this time and our facilities will remain open as per the usual operating hours.

Staff members who have access to a Kiama Council vehicle and can work from home will do so where possible in order to help reduce operating costs.

Other staff members who are able to work from home due to the nature of their role will also be permitted to do so.

Council staff functioned well while working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic by using online platforms.
