Willoughby Local Planning Panel

Willoughby Council is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community to represent Council on the Willoughby Local Planning Panel (WLPP).

The role of the WLPP is to determine planning applications for local development and provide advice on rezoning applications. Each panel meeting consists of three independent experts and a community representative on a rotational basis. The appointment of community representatives will be up to a period of 3 years commencing April 2023.

Community representatives will contribute constructively to panel discussions bringing community knowledge and insight into deliberations. An understanding of planning and related disciplines would be helpful although the community representative is not required to be an expert in planning or related areas. The role will require attendance at regular site visits, briefings and panel meetings. Preparation prior to meetings will be required including report reading.

The Community representative positions on WLPP will be paid in accordance with rates set by the NSW Government.

Property developers, real estate agents and current Councillors are not eligible to apply.
