Council services re-open as lockdown ends

Council services will be restored and facilities re-opened with the lockdown ending.
With the lockdown lifting, Logan City Council will begin re-opening some facilities and restoring services.

Lockdown will end in the City of Logan at 4pm today (Sunday, August 8) as announced by the Queensland Government.

Logan City Council will re-open some facilities and restore services curtailed by last week's lockdown.

The Ekka Show Day holiday will go ahead in the City of Logan as planned tomorrow (Monday, August 9).

Council decided to keep the long-scheduled public holiday on Monday as the late notice to postpone would have created uncertainty for the community.

That means some Council services will not re-open until normal business hours on Tuesday, August 10.

For a full list of re-opening details, please visit Council's website

Council's top priority is the health and safety of our community, customers and staff.

All Queensland Health restrictions and guidelines, including the wearing of masks and social distancing, will be strictly enforced at all Council venues.

As many Council facilities have been closed for a week, some crowds and delays may be expected in the coming days as business returns to normal.

Everyone is encouraged, if possible, to delay their visit to Council facilities such as the waste centres until later in the week.

Customers can also utilise online services where appropriate. Go to our website

With uncertainty last week over how long the lockdown may last, Council decided the August round of committee meetings this week will not have a public gallery.

Each meeting remains open and transparent to the public and media through an audio and video live-stream which can be viewed on Council's YouTube page
