Council would like to notify residents that we are experiencing staff shortages due to Covid-19.

Federation Council General Manager Adrian Butler said Council, like other businesses across our community are working through this latest set of challenges to ensure the continuity of our services are maintained.

"Council is currently experiencing shortages across all of our departments, which is placing additional strain on our already busy teams," he said.

"As a result, it may take longer than usual for our staff to respond to customer requests and inquiries. Council appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through these challenging times together."

Federation Council Mayor, Cr Pat Bourke said on behalf of Council, he would like to extend his thoughts to all local businesses who are similarly impacted.

"The last couple of years have been tough on everyone, but I would like to remind our local business operators and residents of their resilient nature and the way in which we are able to continue to adapt during times such as this," he said.

"We have a proven track record and now is the time to be continue to be kind to yourselves and one another. To see the messages of support on local social media pages for businesses and one another is truly heartwarming, and is something small that we can all continue to do to make this time a little easier for everyone."
