Council to livestream Wednesday's meeting 1 June

MidCoast Council

MidCoast Council's ordinary meeting to be held tomorrow, Wednesday 2 June, will be webcast live from 2pm.

Members of the public will be able to view the meeting via livestream through a weblink, accessible on Council's website on Wednesday morning. Those interested are also now permitted to attend in person, however social distancing requirements means numbers are capped at 25 in line with the current Public Health Order and two square metre rule.

The meeting will consider the awarding of a contract for the construction of a new landfill cell at the Taree Waste Management Centre and an update on roads, bridges, water and sewer capital works programs.

Consideration will also be given to a proposal to waiver this year's liquid trade waste fees for flood impacted businesses.

Also on the agenda is the adoption of the inaugural MidCoast Cultural Plan, endorsement of the first round of event sponsorship allocations, which will see $64,000 injected into local events, and a community donation program which will share $23,000 between 10 organisations.

To view the full meeting agenda and associated reports, visit www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/meetings where you can also access the livestream weblink when it is made available on Wednesday morning.

Registration to attend the meeting in person must be made before 12pm today, Tuesday 1 June. To register, complete the registration form on Council's website, or call 7955 7777. A shuttle service from out the front of the MidCoast Council Library in Victoria Street, Taree will operate for those who are registered to attend and require transport.
