Federation Council has formally reviewed and noted its Delivery Program Progress Report (1 January to 30 June 2026), highlighting strong progress on key community infrastructure and core services while ensuring full operational transparency.
Out of 157 total actions tracked under Council's Delivery Program 2025-2029 and Operational Plan 2025/26, 109 actions were successfully achieved. The remaining items faced external delays, competing priorities or were realigned by previous Council decisions.
Key Achievements & Highlights
During the six-month reporting period, Council delivered major project milestones across the LGA, including:
Roads & Transport: Completion of critical road safety, resheeting and sealing works across rural and urban networks, improving key arterial routes.
Stormwater & Water Security: Significant progress on local stormwater drainage upgrades and essential water treatment plant modernisation to enhance long-term flood resilience and water reliability.
Community Infrastructure: Upgrade of public amenities, playground enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of sports grounds and community halls.
Strategic & Growth Planning: Advancement of local environmental planning frameworks and tourism initiatives aimed at boosting local business.
Federation Council Mayor Cr Cheryl Cook said this progress report demonstrates our ongoing commitment to delivering real outcomes for the Federation Community, from critical road and stormwater infrastructure to key strategic plans.
To ensure continued momentum into the next financial year, Council adopted 10 specific amendments to the Operational Plan 2026/27: 8 carry-forward actions; and 2 merged actions.
