Council welcomes community to remember Queen Elizabeth II

Council will be hosting a community screening of the National Service in acknowledgement of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II to encourage those who would like to pay their respects a chance to come together to mark this historic moment.

Where: the Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre (COPACC)

When: Thursday 22 September 2022 starting at 10.30am, with screening to commence at 11am

“Queen Elizabeth II made a significant contribution to Australia over seven decades. She was a constant, well-respected leader who demonstrated dedication, hard-work, empathy and was a reassuring presence for many people,” said Mayor Hanson.

Members of the community are welcome to attend.

For community members wishing to handwrite a note of condolence for Her Majesty the Queen, there will be a book available to sign on the day, or visit the digital condolence book at www.pmc.gov.au/her-majesty-the-queen.
