Council Welcomes New Youth Advisor

Griffith City Council is pleased to welcome Tithi Patel as the new Youth Advisor, supporting Council's ongoing commitment to engaging and empowering young people across the community.

As a young person herself, Tithi is passionate about creating environments where young people feel supported and confident to express themselves. She also brings valuable experience from her time as a member of Council's Youth Advisory Group (YAG), giving her a strong understanding of local youth programs, events and priorities.

"I am excited to be a part of something that contributes to a fun, safe and supportive environment in our local community where youth can express and advocate for themselves," Tithi said.

Tithi also brings a creative focus to the role, having contributed to many YAG events through visual arts.

"I really enjoy visual arts and being creative, which has become a key element in many YAG events, including face painting at Glow Roller Disco and Henna art at Sounds of Spring and Sounds of Autumn," she said.

Through her involvement with YAG, Tithi has built strong connections with other young people and is keen to continue expanding those opportunities.

"Being a previous member of YAG, I've had the privilege of creating connections with other young people and I'm excited to help others do the same," she said.

Council also thanks outgoing Youth Advisor Charli Scott for her dedication and contribution to youth engagement in Griffith.
