Driving through Bomaderry just got better thanks to recent roundabout and median strip maintenance by Transport for NSW.
Following requests by Council to improve the presentation of the Princes Highway in Bomaderry, Transport for NSW is undertaking a program of slashing and tidying the planted median strip and roundabouts between Moss Vale Road and Bolong Road.
Mayor Patricia White acknowledged the State Government's efforts to ensure that maintenance was delivered.
"We're incredibly grateful for the attention given to this section of the highway's roundabouts and median strips," Cr White said.
"When our major entry points are well maintained, they create a positive first impression for visitors and a sense of pride for our community," she said.
"These recent works complement the upgrades Council has been undertaking on our roundabouts in our towns and villages."
Roundabout landscaping carried out by Council before Christmas has included trialling Sir Grange Zoysia grass which is a low growing 'no mow' style grass that is hardy, looks great, and requires low maintenance.
