Council's free Healthy Pet Day - healthy pets are happy pets

Liverpool pet owners are encouraged to bring their companion animal to Council's Healthy Pet Day on Thursday 13 May at Edwin Wheeler Reserve in Sadleir, and have their pet microchipped at no cost.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said microchipping and vaccination of pets is key to responsible pet ownership.

"Council knows the importance of microchipping and is offering this free service to assist Liverpool's pet owners," Mayor Waller said.

By law, all cats and dogs, other than exempt cats and dogs, must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age or before being sold or given away.
