COVID-19 Update 23 March 2020

Thirty-four people in South Australia have today tested positive for COVID-19. There have now been a total of 134 confirmed cases in South Australia.

Today's positive cases range in age from people in their 20s, through to people in their 70s.

Any travel or location details relevant to when individual cases were infectious will be released, when they are available.

To date, all of the cases we have investigated have recently returned from overseas, interstate or are a contact of a known case, which means there is no indication at this stage of any unknown locally acquired community transmission.

As of yesterday, more than 4,500 people have been tested at dedicated metropolitan COVID-19 clinics and SA Pathology have undertaken more than 17,100 tests.
