The CPD cycle is in its final year
The current CPD cycle ends on Saturday, 30 November 2019. All dentists must complete a minimum of 60 hours of continuing professional development activity during every three-year CPD cycle. Members can plan their final year's activity by accessing the ADA Calendar which features courses and workshops from individual state branches. You can also visit your branch's website to learn more. Your ADA membership entitles you to hundreds of hours of online CPD on demand, ready for you to learn at the CPD Portal. And all your CPD is tracked by Your Logbook, it is so easy!
Recordings from Congress
If you missed out on attending the largest and leading continuing professional development event fordental practitioners in Australia, the Australian Dental Congress, never fear the recordings from Congress will be made available to members on the ADA's CPD Portal.
A team of dental educators and dental specialists worked together for two years to fine tune the Congress program and it does not disappoint! A new webinar: Four areas of legal risk in general dental practice (presented by Drs Patrick Meaney and Brad Wright)
There are some significant areas of legal risk for dental practitioners; AHPRA, public health, third party risk, contracts and employment law. These are all issues that can cause significant harm to the continued operation of the practice.
Each area of risk is discussed including dealing with AHPRA notifications and preventive strategies in clinical records, health fund audits, public health audits, contractual issues with sale of practice and restraint, and employment law and the Fair Work Act.
