Craigmuir Lake Geese relocated to private dam

Greater Shepparton City Council advises the five community geese that had been living on Craigmuir Lake for the past five years have been relocated.

Previously, a local resident cared for the geese, feeding them each day and providing them with a safe place to sleep at night.

Sadly, this community member has since passed away, leaving the geese without a home and regular food.

The geese became lost without the care, often wandering away from the dam, so Council's Rangers organised a trained Wildlife Carer to relocate the geese to a private dam where a new owner will care for them for the remainder of their lives.
