Police are investigating a crash on Port Road, Hindmarsh this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Port Road, Hindmarsh about 5.40pm on Thursday 29 August by reports that a car had crashed into a pole in the tram corridor.
The car was stuck on the tramline, stopping westbound trams.
Paramedics treated the driver at the scene before rushing him to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Road Policing Section officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Major Crash investigators are attending to assist.
