Motorists are advised SH 2 near Waioeka and Waiata Roads will be closed for periods of time this afternoon while emergency services attend a truck crash in Waioeka Gorge.
The single-vehicle crash, near the intersection of Waioeka and Waiata Roads, happened at around 1.10pm.
The truck driver was trapped and appears to be seriously injured.
A helicopter is en-route from Gisborne, and the Serious Crash Unit is attending.
Please avoid the area if possible.
