The annual Queanbeyan-Palerang Arts Trail is back this October, and we are calling on local creatives and venues to get involved!
Celebrating creativity in all its forms, the Arts Trail encourages participation from studios, galleries, visual artists, theatre groups, writers, musicians, digital artists, performers, and more. From traditional exhibitions and open studios to street performances and media art projections, all forms of creative practice are welcome.
Council is committed to connecting our vibrant arts community to art lovers and visitors from near and far. This annual event provides a fantastic opportunity for creatives to open their doors, activate public spaces, and engage with the public.
Extensive advertising promotes the event, featuring the talent of our region's artists, performers, musicians, writers and craftspeople. Don't miss the chance to get involved, artists must be registered to be included in all advertising materials online and in-hand.
The 2025 event dates are:
- Braidwood - 4 and 5 October
- Bungendore - 11 and 12 October
- Queanbeyan - 18 and 19 October
Registrations are now open at www.qprc.nsw.gov.au/Arts-Trail and close midday 1 September 2025.
This year's event includes a few exciting new opportunities:
- Bungendore Indoor Market at the Wood Works Gallery:
The recently closed Bungendore Wood Works Gallery will reopen to host an Arts & Crafts-style indoor market during the Bungendore Trail weekend (11–12 October). Stallholder spaces approximately (3m x 4m) are available to artists and creatives wishing to showcase and sell their work. A small fee applies, and some display equipment (e.g. plinths and tables) will be available.
- Exhibition Spaces at Café Woodworks, Bungendore:
Wall space is available for a visual artist or small group to exhibit in the cafe throughout the event.
- Other venue opportunities in Braidwood and Queanbeyan:
Additional spaces across the region may be available for a range of creative formats and are open to proposals.
Artists interested in these opportunities are encouraged to submit an expression as soon as possible by contacting Janita Byrne; QPRC's Team Leader for Culture & Arts on 0409 438 953.
In the spirit of previous Arts Trails, we encourage free or value-added experiences for audiences, beyond your usual engagement/operation. Free events keep the Arts Trail inclusive and open to new audiences. We encourage income generation for creatives through the purchase of merchandise or other opportunities.
The registration form, participating artist/performers Terms and Conditions, marketing and insurance information can be found on the Arts Trail website www.qprc.nsw.gov.au/Arts-Trail
